ABOUT US:

Nestled in a quiet community, Upper Falls Dance Academy is located in northern Baltimore County near Kingsville, Maryland (just off of Rt. 1, Belair Road on Bradshaw Rd.). The facility houses two studios, a changing room, bathroom, a parent waiting area, snack lounge and dance boutique.

The emphasis and success of the school lies in a strong classical ballet foundation. The focus and energy of the school is placed on technique, artistry, and the enjoyment of dance itself, and not on participation in the competition circuit where learning routines become the sole purpose of training.

The staff, comprised of qualified professionals, are dedicated to producing results through both challenging and encouraging each student, fostering creativity and enthusiasm. The class sizes are kept small (approximately ten students) allowing student to receive personal attention, which focuses on their individual accomplishments.

Students that have studied at Upper Falls Dance Academy acquire the necessary skills required to make an effortless transition into the performing arts schools and conservatories, college dance programs and professional dance careers. The academy offers a variety of classes to fulfill the needs of the different ages, levels and interests of its students. Whether the individual is interested in exploring movement skills or has aspirations of a professional dance career, the benefits derived from the study of dance will enhance and enrich the student both artistically and physically throughout their life.

THE ROYAL ACADEMY OF DANCE EXAMS (RAD):

The children's exams provide a sound foundation for those students who are more serious about their training. To help provide incentives during their years of training, the RAD conducts worldwide examinations for students of all ages and levels. When student show the technical ability and control, they are invited to participate in the exam process. A representative from The Royal Academy of Dance is sent to the area spring and extra classes and rehearsals are often necessary in preparation for the exams.
